Social Studies Activities:

5th Grade

Imagine that you are a European getting ready to travel to America during colonization. Pick a colony to travel to and make a travel brochure.

  1. List important people or places to visit. Include a picture.

  2. Describe the location and include a map of the colony with important cities labeled.

  3. List favorite facts about the colony and include a picture to go with these facts.

  4. Take a picture of your finished brochure and email or text it to me. jfleisch@esu2.org or 402-427-3044

  5. Hold onto your brochure for an activity next week.

6th Grade

Imagine that you are planning a trip to a South American country. Pick a country to travel to and make a travel brochure that has information that has you excited about your visit.

  1. List important people or places to visit. Include a picture.

  2. Describe the location and include a map of the country with important cities labeled.

  3. List favorite facts about the country and include a picture to go with these facts.

  4. Take a picture of your finished brochure and email or text it to me. jfleisch@esu2.org or 402-427-3044, or we might do a zoom meeting to share. More information to come.
